Finally a new post
Steve's kids, neices and brother all got together to play in the sun and sleep in the dirt.
Ok Steve & Heidi, Bob (Steve's Brother) and Jacki & Brian stayed in motel rooms.
We all had a lot of fun.. wish everyone of our kids could have made it..
We went to South Beach the first day, the water was very cold but the sun kept us from freezing, we caught some pretty good waves (ok they were not surfing waves but bigger than us) that knocked us around and tried to claim our clothes but we survived.
The next day we went to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk where we watched some Chinese Acrobats then took in some sun and swim. Natalie, Irie and Jared helped dig a big hole to hide in they had a great time. James was making snow angels in the sand. Some of us were too cold (lots of wind) to swim there but we did get our feet wet.
On Thursday we had a big celebration for all the August Birthdays, Tiffany (August 15), Christy, Jami, Grandma Lofgren, Aunt Ann (August 18), Natalie (August 21). We ate cake and ice cream sandwiches, Yummy!!!
We are glad to report that everyone made it home from their long drives safely we are so happy for that..
